NOTICE OF EMERGENCY MEETING

The Manchester Newspaper Guild will be holding a special EMERGENCY membership meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 4:30 p.m., at the New Hampshire Food Bank, 700 East Industrial Park Drive (corner of Holt Avenue, right near The Union Leader). ALL members are strongly urged to attend. If you are scheduled to work, you are excused to attend this VERY IMPORTANT meeting.

The purpose of the meeting will be to hold a vote on the company’s Sept. 12 contract proposal (sent to members via email and posted on Guild bulletin boards).

A separate notice (or several) will explain the proposal in detail prior to the meeting. 

ATTENTION

The regular Tuesday and Thursday informational picketing will recommence beginning Tuesday, Oct. 25 (TODAY!!), from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the corner of East Industrial Drive and Holt Avenue.

A tentative informational picket has been planned outside the Business and Industry Association dinner, sponsored by The Union Leader, to be held at the Radisson Hotel on Elm Street in downtown Manchester, at the conclusion of Wednesday’s membership meeting.

Given current events, ALL members should make a special effort to participate.
